Recent Local Government Updates
On Wednesday, March 25th, several area residents attended a Plan Commission Meeting at the Village of Fall River Municipal Building. The Village of Fall River Planning Commission meeting heard Alliant's presentation of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The Planning Commission had some difficult questions for the Alliant representative. When asked if the BESS is a necessary part of the Columbia Wind Project, there was no response. Alliant, who describes its role as host, wants to get permits and zoning changes.
